Altar Servers

Jack Keenan was the co-ordinator for the Altar Servers of St Lucy’s for some 12 or 13 years. During that time many young people have passed through his hands and quite a number of these are now married and still attend St Lucy’s with their spouse and children.

Jack has been succeeded by who do a wonderful job looking after the servers before and after the Vigil Mass on Saturday evenings.

We are on the look out for one or two parishioners to do the same task at 11 o’clock Mass on Sundays. Any volunteers would be most welcome.

St Lucy’s are fortunate to have several servers. These children are dedicated and do a wonderful job. They are also willing to give their time, if required, for weddings and any special services in the evenings. They are a credit to themselves and to St Lucy’s.

Once children reach primary four and have received the sacrament of Holy Communion they can become altar servers. If any children out there fit into this category and would like to learn to serve Mass then why not speak to Fr Joe.
