The Adult Special Needs Group (also known as the Special Needs Club or the Wednesday Club) has been running for the past 16-17 years.
People meet every second Wednesday in the Church Hall from 7.30-9.30pm. The club itself is very informal with people opting in and out of different activities, ie, snooker, bingo, board games, arts & crafts, beauty therapy, and music. The club is facilitated by volunteers and some staff members from supported accommodation in the town. Helpers are always welcome (however, due to new legislation they will need to be subject to Police checks).
Transport can generally be arranged for any adults with learning difficulties wanting to come along. For further details/information please contact Liz Love or Paul Agnew at St. Lucy’s Parish, or email the website.
